Recognizing the strategic role transportation plays in sustaining or changing the level of poverty for a community, Practical Action has worked together with rural communities, isolated for the lack of a good transport system, to develop roads and manufacture needs-specific vehicles for transportation of goods and people. Practical Action’s technical expertise has provided communities the technical input and know how required to develop transportation solutions best suited to meet their needs.
